Ms. Purva Kadaganchi
On the educational front, she completed her graduation in Psychology from Fergusson College, Pune, and post-graduation in Clinical Psychology from the Dept of Psychology, Savitribai Phule Pune University. She also has bagged a Post-Graduate Diploma in Child and Family Counseling.
Apart from her academic achievements, she has obtained vast working experience through interning at two renowned schools in Pune as a counselor. She has had an opportunity to work as an intern with one of the most sought-after psychiatrists in Pune. In addition, she has broadened her knowledge and refined her skills by attending various workshops and training programs.
We are proud to say that our psychologist, Ms. Purva, being Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) and National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified, is a Visiting Faculty at the Department of Psychology at the Savitribai Phule Pune University. She is also a part of the mental health experts team under the Mental Wellbeing Program run by the St. Mira’s College for Girls. Being the Consultant Clinical Psychologist with the college, she provides counseling sessions for the students and works with them towards improving their overall wellbeing.
Trained in various forms of psychotherapy, she has worked with varied diagnosis like mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive -compulsive disorders and personality disorders, to name few amongst many. Having had the opportunity to be trained at the Family Psychiatry Centre of NIMHANS (the only center that provides family interventions), she has been equipped to deal with family pathology by providing family therapy and marital or couples therapy. She has received rigorous training in psychological testing (personality assessments, diagnostic scales and IQ assessment) and neuropsychological testing.
She also had the privilege of working with the Center for Mental Health, Pune, as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, which adds to her experience working with diverse populations and various clinical conditions. Gifted with an innate writing ability, she also publishes helpful articles regarding mental well-being in the 'blogs' section. She has been involved in training and supervising the interns at the center. Purva is associated with other organizations wherein she has served as a counselor. Moreover, she has had the opportunity to hold interactive lectures with psychology students at different educational institutes.
